Category:Update and Upgrade
In order to understand this category we must first define some terminology so that the user may determine if the process they are hoping to perform is indeed an Upgrade or an Update.
An update is the process of replacing features in a database so that the most recent features within a version of FPS may be fully used. What this means is if the user wants to update a database from 6.8 to 6.9 these are the steps that are necessary to make those changes.
An upgrade is the process moving between major versions of the FPS database. This means a transition from 6.x to 7.x. This a very indepth process and it is suggested that the user contact FBRI support to complete this process. However some information is provided here if the user still chooses to continue the upgrade on there own.
